Services and Resources for Children
The library offers two storytimes each week: Wednesday mornings at 10:00 AM for our lapsitting patrons, and Thursday mornings at 10:30 AM for our preschool-aged patrons. All ages are welcome at any of our storytimes.
The library offers 13 different passes to museums. Many of these passes allow for free entry and others offer significant discounts. To reserve a pass, please stop by the library or give us a call.
Kanopy Kids is a video streaming service for children. It offers a variety of TV series, learning languages, animated storybooks, anime favorites, classic films, and movies for the whole family.
Wonderbooks and Playaways are books which read to children with just the push of a button, and Launchpads are preloaded tablets with learning games. All three devices are pretty wonderful!
Brainfuse is AMAZING! It offers such an extensive resource of learning materials. And it even includes live tutoring daily from 2 – 11 PM. Be sure to enter the prefix code followed by your library card, without any spaces.
Mango Languages is a self-paced digital program that helps people of all ages learn to speak a language conversationally. It can be used through a computer browser or on a mobile device (smartphone or tablet) using the mobile app. You will need a prefix code from us to access this program.
The Summer Reading is such a fun way to keep children reading, and to prevent “the summer slide.” Prizes are offered for completing the program, and there are at least two special events for the whole family to enjoy.
